Salim Arif

As an illustrious alumnus of the National School of Drama, New Delhi, Salim Arif has carved a remarkable path in Indian Theatre and Films. He holds the prestigious position of Head of the Department at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, Asia’s leading Film School. His association with the Ladakh International Film Festival and Navi Mumbai Film Festival as Director further adds to his illustrious career.

Salim Arif’s talent as a Period Film Designer of substance has earned him international recognition. His work in Shyam Benegal’s Bharat Ek Khoj, Gulzar’s Mirza Ghalib, and Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s Chanakya has been widely acclaimed. His other prominent works include Nirja Guleri’s Chandrakanta, Ketan Mehta’s Sardar Patel, Gulzar’s Maachis & Hu-Tu-Tu, Govind Nihalani’s Takshak, and Anil Sharma’s Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo. He has also been a consultant for period details in Anil Sharma’s Gadar and Mani Ratnam’s Guru.
